Morpheus8: Combining Microneedling with Radiofrequency to totally transform your skin.

Have you been searching for microneedling near me and stumbled across a new, high-tech-sounding device called Morpheus8, but you’re not sure how it works or if the treatment is for you? Facial microneedling and radiofrequency skin tightening? What do those words mean, and how can these technologies help your skin?

TruDerm is here to help answer all your questions about the latest and greatest in microneedling.

Morpheus8 is a cutting-edge, non–invasive device that has produced significant results. It combines the best of the best by using tried and true microneedling to stimulate the top layers of skin with radiofrequency, which is excellent for getting into deeper layers of skin that microneedling alone can’t reach.

How does Morpheus8 work?

You’ve probably heard of microneedling, a derma roller procedure that uses tiny needles to prick the skin and create new collagen and tissue for softer, smoother, firmer skin. Morpheus8 is another microneedling device, but it does much more than a standard microneedling treatment. Instead of only working on the top layers of skin, Morpheus8 uses radiofrequency to activate collagen and elastin production deeper in the dermis than microneedling alone.

During the procedure, the handheld device is pressed into the area after a local anesthetic cream is applied to the patient’s treatment area, allowing tiny microneedles to penetrate the skin. Once placed, the pins emit radio waves (RF). The heat from these waves penetrates deep into the dermis, creating a “shrink wrap”-like effect that tightens the skin and fat beneath. This causes remodeling and restructuring and improves the appearance of previously loose skin to firm and healthy. The entire treatment takes about two hours.

Why is Morpheus8 so effective?

Adding radio frequency is more effective than microneedling for acne, facial blemishes, or skin tightening. The secret is in the combination of RF and microneedles. Microneedling creates channels that allow the RF to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. When radiofrequency can reach those deeper layers, that’s what really contours and transforms the skin. Not only does it target superficial tissue like standard microneedling devices, but also deeper fat which is known to create loose skin.

Where can Morpheus8 be used?

The most popular target areas for Morpheus8 are the cheeks, jawline, and submental area (the space under the chin). Morpheus8 can also reduce the appearance stretch marks, large pores, and wrinkles.

Who's a candidate for Morpheus8?

The ideal candidate is someone who is beginning to see the signs of aging and wants to prevent wrinkles or sagging skin. It is a great way to counteract the loss of skin elasticity that occurs with age.
